Participation in the Investment for the Distillation Business of Pyrolysis Oil Derived from Waste Tires in Thailand

DAIICHI JITSUGYO (THAILAND) CO., LTD. has jointly invested with VERASUWAN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “VRN”), a petroleum and food waste oil refining company, in the distillation oil production business of pyrolysis oil derived from waste tires, established by PYRO ENERGIE CO., LTD. (hereinafter “PYRO”). This business is based in Thailand.

In this business, pyrolysis oil obtained from the pyrolysis of waste tires is further distilled to extract and separate specific components, with the aim of producing fuel and raw materials for manufacturing new tires. Traditionally, pyrolysis oil from waste tires was limited to specific uses, such as direct combustion, due to its impurities and low purity. However, this project will establish a distillation plant to process the pyrolysis oil, enabling the production of sustainable tire materials with lower environmental impact.

Since 2022, our company has been working together with PYRO and VRN to develop solutions for the recycling of waste tires as resources within Thailand. Through this project, we aim to provide an integrated solution that covers everything from waste tire collection to the production and sale of recycled materials, leveraging the strengths of each company. This will contribute to realizing a circular economy in the automotive and tire manufacturing industries and the development of a sustainable society.
